Andrew grew up in the Yukon, where long winters shaped both daily life and an early relationship with physical work and movement. Whether shovelling snow, cutting firewood, or managing icy conditions around the home, he developed a practical understanding of how the body adapts to physical demands. During those long winters, indoor sport became a natural outlet, sparking a lasting interest in movement, anatomy, and human physiology.

Andrew’s athletic background includes wrestling, volleyball, and indoor soccer, experiences that laid the foundation for his understanding of performance, injury, and recovery. His professional focus evolved while working as an athletic therapist with a variety of sports teams, where he gained experience treating acute injuries and supporting return-to-activity goals. Through this work, he discovered a deeper passion for helping individuals manage chronic conditions, long-term injuries, and disease-related limitations.

Andrew believes that exercise is not simply a means to performance, but a valuable goal in itself. Movement is a tool that helps people navigate life with greater independence, resilience, and confidence. His approach emphasizes using exercise and rehabilitation to support real-world function, whether that means returning to sport, managing chronic pain, improving mobility, maintaining health with disease, or simply being able to walk, hike, perform daily activities, or play with family, children, and grandchildren.

While sport can be an important part of life, Andrew believes it should exist within a broader sense of balance. He is committed to working with individuals of all backgrounds and abilities, meeting people where they are, and helping them achieve sustainable health and wellness goals through thoughtful, evidence-based care.
